Friday the 13th
I'm no meteorologist or anything, but this ain't right.
Two feet of snow has caused Buffalo to come to a grinding halt. Normally, two feet of snow is no big deal in Buffalo, but this snow fell on OCTOBER 12th. The snow is really wet and heavy, almost slush. Because the trees still have all their leaves, the snow had lots of surface area for clinging. The snow turned out to be too heavy a burden for the poor trees. The tree lined streets are total chaos. All night last night the storm brewed and limbs fell. Almost nobody in Buffalo has power and as a result, almost no one has heat. Because the problem is so wide spread and so many trees fell on so many power-lines, we have been told not to expect electricity until Tuesday. TUESDAY!
By my calculations, today is Friday. Friday the 13th. Tuesday is in FOUR DAYS!
I have lived in winter climates my entire life and I have never before seen anything like this. Last night, I feel asleep to the sounds of howling wind, thunder, and falling trees.
What the hell?

The snow in Buffalo is all over the headlines here in Honolulu. Way to go Mother Nature. Kitty, does this mean you are without power until Tuesday. No bloggy?

Those pictures are so weird. Green leaves and snow just don't go together. I have on question though...if you have no power, how are you blogging?
It's cloudy and a blessed 72 degrees here. I have on socks and shoes (no sandals today) and a light fleece. I think I am officially a Texan.

We will get through this, it is amazing how quickly the roads were cleared...
No need to go anywhere.
