dude, Buffalo gets a bad rap, and yet, it has some seriously cool things going on and some rocking pride. I can see hoe little ol'buffalo is quite quaint in its own way.

I'm pretty sure that guy used to play in our first violin section. Retired two... no, maybe three years ago. The hunched shoulders and gnarled bow hand give him right away.

I saw Carvings for a Cause featured on channel 2's 6a.m. news a few months ago, and thought it was an intrepid response to combine past and future this way. It's interesting that most of the trees they used were about 100 years old, since the last time Western New York suffered a massive snow-caused tree destruction was October 11-12, 1906 (the 2006 event occurred on October 12-13; we got about the same amount of snowfall as they did in 1906, the weather circumstances being nearly identical both times).
